Studio Potters SA remains an active social, teaching and exhibiting group. The club was formerly known until 2006 as South Australian Studio Potters Club, Inc.
The Club is managed by a Committee voted in by paid up members. Making pots is the club’s aim. The club operates on a user pays basis, and through continued careful financial management nt offers members spacious and well appointed workshop facilities. Currently we have a separate wheels room (9), and a separate kilns room (6).
In 1999, along with the adjoining workshop site fronting 1 Fourth Avenue , the club acquired the property fronting 54 O. G. Road. This property was converted through members’ hard work to a unique ceramics Gallery featuring pottery produced by members. Exhibitors are rostered for duty under the guidance of the volunteer Gallery Manager, who is assisted by a 3 member Selection Committee.
A large off street car park between the workshop and gallery is an asset for gallery and workshop visitors!
